On-line Graduate Certificate Program in Coaching Education - The Department of Kinesiology and the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports offer a three-course on-line graduate certificate program (9 credits) in coaching education.  Course content focuses on legal, administrative, psychological, sociological, and biological issues as they relate to the coaching of amateur athletes.   After successful completion of all three courses, a Certificate of Completion will be awarded.

Program for Athletic Coaches Education - PACE is a coach education program designed and endorsed by the Michigan High School Athletic Association, Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association, and the Youth Sports Institute of Michigan State University. Persons who complete the requirements specified on the PACE web site or students who complete KIN 400 and KIN 401 may sit for the PACE certification exam.

Certificate in College Teaching - MSU's Certification in College Teaching is an initiative of The Graduate School, in partnership with departments and colleges. Upon completion of the program, the student will receive an MSU Certificate in College Teaching. A transcript notation will also be provided.

Certification in Athletic Training - Students who complete the athletic training option in the undergraduate degree program will be eligible to sit for the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) Certification Examination administered by the NATA Board of Certification (NATABOC).

Endorsement of Teachers of Physical Education for Students with Disabilities - The endorsement is a State of Michigan certification available to persons who have earned a K-12 physical education teaching certificate, who complete approximately 18 credits of relevant coursework, and who complete a supervised practicum experience in adapted physical education.
