Message from the
KIN Graduate Coordinator

The Department of Kinesiology is proud of its strong tradition of offering quality master’s and doctoral degree programs.  We invite prospective graduate students to explore the curriculum materials posted on this web site, to visit campus, to correspond with faculty members, and to apply for admission.

A few themes consistently emerge whenever we poll current or recent graduate students about the quality of the graduate programs in kinesiology.  Students appreciate the opportunities for interdisciplinary study and research associated with the 13 colleges that offer graduate degrees and the numerous research laboratories and centers on campus. Another valued attribute of the KIN graduate programs is flexibility in designing a personal plan of study, including opportunities for dual/joint degree programs, inter-campus exchange programs, and study abroad possibilities.  Faculty mentors have also received kudos for creating a challenging scholarly learning environment, for inducting students into the research community, and for caring about students. Students fall in love with the beautiful MSU campus.

Please feel welcome to contact any member of the KIN faculty for information about our graduate degree programs.  We welcome your application!

Sincerely,
Gail M. Dummer, Ph.D.
