Roy K. Niemeyer
The Roy K. Niemeyer Scholarship was established in
1998 by the Niemeyer family and
friends.

Roy K. Niemeyer was a member of the physical education
faculty at Michigan State University from 1948 through 1985. He was an avid
outdoorsman and taught the skills of camping, hunting, fishing, survival,
and a love for the outdoors. He was Director of the Outdoor Education
Project in the late 1970s and hosted a National Conference on Outdoor
Education in 1980. He also spent two years in Africa assisting the
University of Nigeria in planning and implementing a program of Health,
Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics. |
