MAHPERD Honor Award

Description

The Michigan Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MAHPERD) Honor Award is given to deserving students preparing for careers in health, physical education, recreation, dance and related professions. Students are to be active participants in their field of preparation and involved in service activities. Awards are presented at the MAHPERD convention the following November. The Honors Luncheon is free to Honor Award winners. Criteria: (a) kinesiology major; (b) current junior or senior standing - must have senior status next fall; (c) minimum GPA of 3.00; and (d) community service and active in field of preparation.

Nomination Procedures

Students who wish to be considered for the MAHPERD Honor Award should submit the following materials to the KIN Undergraduate Coordinator, Dr. V. Dianne Ulibarri, 101 IM Sports Circle. The application deadline is mid-September or as announced via the KIN listserv.
