Roy K. Niemeyer Scholarship

Description

The Niemeyer scholarship was created in 1998 in memory of Dr. Roy K. Niemeyer, a member of the Department of Kinesiology from 1948 to 1985.   Dr. Niemeyer was an avid outdoorsman who taught the skills of camping, fishing, survival and love of the outdoors to many students.  The award carries a stipend of approximately $500.  Criteria: (a) an undergraduate or intern student in kinesiology who has completed 56 or more credits at the end of fall semester; (b) a GPA of 3.0 or above; and (c) a background in scouting, camping, or other outdoor activities.
