Criteria for Rating
Grant-Writing and Other
Revenue-Generating Activities

When evaluating productivity in this area, the Personnel Committee should consider: (a) whether the funding source is internal or external to the university; (b) the amount of funding or revenue generated; and (c) whether the funding includes or does not include overhead costs. The Personnel Committee should also consider the extent to which an individual faculty member makes significant contributions to collaborative projects.

Proposals submitted in this category may be in support of any area of productivity (e.g., research, teaching, service) pertinent to the mission of the Department. Criteria marked with a * represent expectations for persons seeking reappointment, tenure, and promotion.
