Consultant and Responsible Administrator
Compile Final Reports

In Step #7, the consultant and responsible administrator prepare a final report for dissemination to school administrators and the board of education for the school system. The final report should be presented at meetings called for that purpose. Members of the task force should be asked to direct or assist with these presentations. The report should include:

  • Body of the report

    • An overview of the curriculum evaluation process

    • A discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the physical education curriculum

    • Recommendations for curriculum revision

  • Appendices

    • Copies of the interim reports prepared by the external consultant, task force, physical education staff, and community stakeholders

    • Copies of the instruments used throughout the evaluation process

In addition to the final report for dissemination to school administrators, the consultant and responsible administrator should prepare a executive summary or publicity report for dissemination to the community. This publicity report should focus on high-priority recommendations for improving the physical education curriculum, and should also include a brief overview of the evaluation process and a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of the current curriculum. Possible means of dissemination include local news media or a school system newsletter.
